2 Actors, 1 Actress needed for short in two weeks (Seattle)

A small, short (5 min), dialogue heavy project seeks 2 actors, 1 actress. The project is being shot on an HDSLR camera with prosumer equipment.

This will most likely be shot over the course of 2 days, 1 hour per day (though you know this may change :). There are two locations and both will probably be in Seattle near the University district. The parking will be free or compensated.

This is a great way to get a good quality short on your resume. We are looking for ages (or pass for) 25-35ish. One actor is white or black race; there are no preferences for the other actor and actress. There is no dialogue for the actress. Actors who have suits (pinstripe would be ideal) will be given preference.

Depending on the amount of replies received, we may or may not hold a casting call. Please include your picture, availability, and contact info in your response. Those chosen will be given the first draft of the script ASAP.

We look forward to working with you!

CASTING Female Supporting Role for Short Film

I'm an 18 year old local filmmaker and am currently looking for a
female actor to play a supporting role for my upcoming short film.
Several of my previous films have been showcased in several national
and international film festivals including the largest youth film
festival in the world. The National Film Festival for Talented Youth
(NFFTY) as well as the Seattle True Independent Film Festival
(STIFF).

We need a female actor, age 18-25 to play the part of a character who
shows up very briefly in only a few scenes as what are essentially
"flashbacks" that the main character has as this character is now
deceased at the time that the story takes place. Only one of the
scenes has dialogue in it.

This new film The Unknown (Working title) is a story of a man
submerged in a dark world of tragedy. He struggles with the loss of
his loved one which now leaves him alone. He knows what awaits him on
the other side of death and he knows it is so much better than the
hell he is living in now. Its just a matter of when he will get there
and the struggles he will have to endure to reach the light the
awaits him in the midst of darkness.

We are still deep in pre-production, but are aiming for a four day
shoot sometime around the middle to late August. All shooting will
take place in various places around Snohomish county including my
house and out to Everett.

Unfortunately this is not a paid project. Food and beverage will be
available to you at each of the shoots. VIP passes will be offered to
any local festivals the film gets accepted to. If interested, please
respond to this with your resume and a list of equipment you may own.
We will get back to you with more info and a copy of the script for
you to read over. We will then ask that you send in a video of
yourself reading from the one scene your part has dialogue in. In
person auditions will not be needed for this part.

Thank you for your time.

CASTING Two Male Lead Roles for Short Film!

I'm an 18 year old local filmmaker and am currently looking for two male actors to play lead roles in my upcoming short film. Several of
my previous films have been showcased in several national and international film festivals including the largest youth film festival
in the world. The National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY) as well as the Seattle True Independent Film Festival (STIFF).
We need two male actors. Age 18-25. Main lead character is named "Peter" and the other lead is "Adam". The story revolves more around
Peter than it does Adam so he is essentially the main lead role.

This new film The Unknown (Working title) is a story of a man submerged in a dark world of tragedy. He struggles with the loss of
his loved one which now leaves him alone. He knows what awaits him on the other side of death and he knows it is so much better than the
hell he is living in now. Its just a matter of when he will get there and the struggles he will have to endure to reach the light the awaits
him in the midst of darkness.

We are still deep in pre-production, but are aiming for a four day shoot sometime around the middle of August. Tentatively, August 16th
through August 19th. This will ultimately depend on the availability of the two actors we select. All shooting will take place in various
places around Snohomish county including my house and out to Everett. These will be busy full day shoots and will require a bit of traveling
on a few of the days to get from location to location so dedication is key.

This is NOT a paid project as our budget is very tight. Food and beverage will be available to you at each of the shoots. VIP passes
will be offered to any local festivals the film gets accepted to.
If interested, please respond to this with your resume and a head shot or something similar. We will get back to you with an audition date and a copy of the script for you to read over as you will be reading from 3-4 pages along side another actor auditioning for the opposite
role. Please state which character you are going to audition for. Peter or Adam.

Thank you for your time.

FEATURE FILM "EDEN" Background Extras needed- Aug. 8 - Sep. 10

EDEN - A powerful new feature film to be shot on location in Seattle
and Eastern Washington.
FILMING DATES: August 8- September 10, 2011
DIRECTED BY: Megan Griffiths
PRODUCED BY: Colin Plank and Jacob Mosler
SCREENPLAY BY: Richard B. Phillips and Megan Griffiths
STORY BY: Richard B. Phillips and Chong Kim
STARRING: Jamie Chung and Scoot McNairy

SYNOPSIS: Inspired by the true story of Chong Kim. A survivor of
domestic human trafficking and sexual slavery.

Hollywood Reporter article:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/hangover-ii-star-jamie-chung-205931

IN 1994 a Korean-American teenager, Hyun Jae, went to a bar in New
Mexico where a handsome young man posing as a firefighter bought her
drinks and offered her a ride home. At that point she was abducted,
thrown into the the truck of a car and smuggled into Las Vegas, where
she was imprisoned in a storage facility-turned-brothel for two years.
During her captivity, Hyun Jae (dubbed Eden by her captors) ensured
her own survival by steadily carving out power and influence within
the very organization that imprisoned her. Inspired by the complex and
harrowing true story of human trafficking survivor Chong Kim, Eden
peers into the darkest corners of America and attempts to discover the
humanity within.

DIRECTOR'S NOTE:
Eden shines a light on the very real and prevalent issue of domestic
human trafficking. While the film contains some shocking imagery, I
believe that portraying this dark part of our world truthfully and
unflinchingly is vitally important. In order to raise awareness of the
issue, people must first come to terms with the fact that this problem
exists, and it exists within our own borders. It is a terrifying
reality that sexual trafficking of very young girls grows more
insidious each day, and until the average American takes action, the
problem will only spread. I hope that you might consider participating
in the production of this film in some way, but also that you take
this opportunity to find out what you can do to help put an end to
this widespread and despicable crime.- Megan Griffiths

INSPIRED BY A TRUE STORY... Chong Kim is a survivor of human
trafficking and sexual slavery. She has worked for the past decade as
an advocate for human trafficking victims and was acknowledged in 2006
by the National Campaign for Tolerance. Since 2007, she has been

Background Talent and 2 Key Performers for Movie Theater Still Photo

Hi there,

We're shooting a small project for a local non-profit in Seattle, WA to publicize an upcoming horror film fest.

We're populating a movie theater for a still photo on Wednesday, July 20th. These roles are unpaid and we were hoping to touch base with those interested in sitting in the scene for a couple hours.

We'd also be interested in chatting with local talent that have the
facial/bone structure that is rather chiseled so as to transform the
individual into the look of. . . wait for it. . . the Bride of Frankenstein
AND Frankenstein.

Any performers that meet the specs for the Frankenstein performers should send a very recent image or two as well.

Many thanks in advance.

Actors for workshop readings (Seattle-Capitol Hill)

Actors are needed for the theatre group, WARP (Writers and Actors Reading and Performing). The group meets weekly and is open to everyone from seasoned professionals to those with little or no previous experience! One goal of WARP is to provide a venue in which actors can gain experience with cold readings, rehearsed readings, and performances. Weekly meetings consist of workshops where playwrights bring their scripts and have them read on stage by the actors in attendance.

In addition to the weekly meetings, WARP will be producing several shows a year using selected material written, directed, and performed by participants. Our next show will be in late October, so we are looking for actors who are potentially interested in participating in a showcase of original one-act plays with a theme that is broadly related to Halloween and Autumn.

WARP meets on a regular basis every Tuesday night from 7:00-10:00 at the Odd Duck Theatre, 1214 10th Ave in Seattle. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 19.

Please consider coming to read. There is no pay, but WARP provides an excellent opportunity for actors to get to know and be seen by playwrights and directors who cast shows in the Seattle area.

Please send a current head shot or photos, any recent production examples, and include any prior experience or a resume in the body of the email. Only submissions with images will be considered.
