What inspires you and motivates you to keep going in what can sometimes be a very challenging industry? In a field with lots of rejection, it can be challenging to stay positive and strong, but sometimes our passion alone drives us through.
What keeps you inspired and motivated? Do you have a mantra that you say before every show or before that close up shot? Do you have have a book that you read that helps you feel grounded and confident? Maybe staying in the social scene or taking classes does the trick?
Share with the community what you do to continue to motivate yourself to keep going and stay positive in an industry that can easily break someone's confidence.
As always, if you are a fan of the blog, please share this with actor friends.
Thanks.

About the Show
The dangers of a workplace romance are explored to hysterical effect in this romantic comedy from the creators of "Damn Yankees." Conditions at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory are anything but peaceful, as sparks fly between new superintendent Sid Sorokin and Babe Williams, leader of the union grievance committee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a 7½-cent pay increase, setting off not only a conflict between management and labor, but a battle of the sexes as well.
Audition Requirements
Please prepare a verse and chorus of a ballad and an upbeat of a vintage musical theatre song from a traditional 20's-60's NON-ROCK musical and not from THE PAJAMA GAME. Go with your strongest song first, as you may not be asked to sing both. It should be in your key, and your own sheet music. Be prepared to ACT the song, not just sing it. A 1 minute comic monologue is suggested if the director is unfamiliar with your work.
If called back you will be advised what to sing from the score of the show and will be sent script sides & music you will be read/sung from. There will also be a dance combination for those asked specifically to attend that.

Fat Kid Rules the World, directed by Mathew Lillard, is a story about an overweight teen who discovers friendship and music through meeting an underground punk scene star.
