Casting Friday for Martial Arts Video project (Seattle)
EXTRA'S CASTING: this is an OPEN CALL for a non-union job.
BREAKDOWN: a Seattle based production company (film, television, musical productions) is looking for talent for an upcoming At Home Martial Arts workout video series.
An accomplished and award winning director will be shooting this project. All talent will receive reel for their portfolio and martial arts training as compensation, with opportunities for further paid work as this project evolves. The filming will occur the week following Labor Day over the course of three days or evenings; exact shooting schedule TBD.
WHEN: Friday, August 5th. 3pm-6:30pm (drop in)
WHERE: 340 W Nickerson St., Seattle WA
WHO: ALL Ethnicities, ages 5-65 will be considered.
Athletic build and physique a MUST; previous martial arts experience is useful but not a requirement.
Please wear form fitting exercise clothes and bring a headshot if you have one.

Three actresses
Zero budget UW student art film director looking for three female actors
between the ages of 21 and 35. Must be available for shooting during the
next two weeks. Will require one of the actresses to travel to the Coulee
Dam area on an upcoming weekend (transportation will be provided).
The available roles are as follows:
- a woman who has discovered her husband / lover has cheated on her (the
lead )
- the two other women (supporting roles but highly active)
As I mentioned, there's no budget for this film so you will be compensated
with film credit, a copy of the finished product, and an invite to the
in-class screening.

Children needed for Short Film
Short Synopsis: Maisie is a young woman who is struggling with the loss of
her younger brother in the Vietnam War. She has trouble coping with the
reality of the situation and refuses to acknowledge her brother's
death.Through the help of her friend Addison she realizes the only way she
can truly be happy is to face reality and let her brother go.
We are currently looking for two children to play the younger version of
Maisie and her brother Holden.
It is an opening scene with the children running through a field chasing
each other. The children would only be needed for one scene on one day.
[Young Maisie] [Female] [Age: 8-11]
Caucasian with blue eyes and blonde hair.
[Young Holden] [Male] [ Age: 5-8]

models/actors for stock photo shoot Friday Aug 5th
Hello,
I'm looking for male and female models & actors for a food stock shoot. The shoot will be about 10 chefs/sous-chefs preparing food in a commercial kitchen.
I need models in age range of 25-55; multi-ethnic (Caucasians, African Americans, Hispanics and Asians).
To be a part of this shoot you will need to come to the casting this Wednesday morning August 3rd in my studio.

2 actors needed for short student film, seattle
Hello,
I am a senior majoring in Digital Arts and Experimental Media at the
University of Washington and I am currently taking a summer course focusing
on narrative film. In this class each student is required to produce a short
film and we are rapidly approaching the production stage. That said, I am
looking for two actors (one male and one female) who would like to
participate in my production. That said, I will unfortunately be unable to
give any monetary compensation.
Below is a quick premise of the film for those interested as well as some
insight to how it will be filmed:
"Boyfriend’s attempt to solidify a relationship backfires when his marriage
proposal goes awry and is revealed too soon to his girlfriend. In his
attempt to rectify the situation, it snowballs into an accident which leaves
the relationship beyond complete repair."
The style of the film will be slightly surreal because a good chunk of the
film is going to take place from the perspective of a blind person (the
female actor). This will not be revealed to the audience until maybe halfway
through, but it is going to greatly effect how sound and image work together
in the film for that first half. In the script (apart from the opening scene
and ending) there is one continuos scene as the woman leads the man around,
but their setting will change drastically around them depending on some key
sounds that crop up on their journey.
That said, even though the female lead will be blind she will not have to
act blind, it will be implied in the way the scenes are going to be filmed.
I am planning on filming next weekend (Aug. 6th and 7th) during the
afternoon (in and around Seattle), so if anyone is interested and available
please send me an email and I will send the script. Depending on the amount
of actors who show interest I will hold short auditions on campus at
University of Washington.

Casting Female Supporting Role for Short Film
I'm an 18 year old local filmmaker and am currently looking for a
female actress to play a supporting role for my upcoming short film.
Several of my previous films have been showcased in several national
and international film festivals including the largest youth film
festival in the world. The National Film Festival for Talented Youth
(NFFTY) as well as the Seattle True Independent Film Festival
(STIFF).
We need a female actress, age 18-25 to play the part of a character
who shows up very briefly in only a few scenes as what are essentially
"flashbacks" that the main character has as this character is now
deceased at the time that the story takes place. Only one of the
scenes has dialogue in it.
This new film The Unknown (Working title) is a story of a man
submerged in a dark world of tragedy. He struggles with the loss of
his loved one which now leaves him alone. He knows what awaits him on
the other side of death and he knows it is so much better than the
hell he is living in now. Its just a matter of when he will get there
and the struggles he will have to endure to reach the light the
awaits him in the midst of darkness.
We are still deep in pre-production, but are aiming for a four day
shoot sometime around the middle to late August. All shooting will
take place in various places around Snohomish county and out to
Everett.
Unfortunately this is not a paid project. Food and beverage will be
available to you at each of the shoots. VIP passes will be offered to
any local festivals the film gets accepted to. If interested, please
respond to this with your resume and a list of equipment you may own.
We will get back to you with more info and a copy of the script for
you to read over. We will then ask that you send in a video of
yourself reading from the one scene your part has dialogue in. In
person auditions will not be needed for this part.

Web Series - Supporting Role
CARTER FILMS is currently casting for an upcoming web series entitled “Agent 5”
The 2 day shoot date is TBD, but likely Monday August 29th and Sunday September
11th in the SODO area. (4 hours days)
AUDITIONS: TBD -likely week of Monday Aug 8th-Location and script will be given out upon selection.
LOG LINE: A ruthless assassin, double crossed by her employer, must now protect the life of her target in order to save innocent lives.
THEME: Be careful what you wish for.
CAST:
Andy – Supporting role - Male, mature look of early 40’s, Retired field agent. Character is an initial Godsend for our main hero (Agent 5) but later turns the tables.
Andy is a weapons and explosives expert.
He is highly capable, quick witted and has a dark sense of humor.
