casting call

Auditions being held this Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the
Capitol Hill Public Library, 425 Harvard Ave. E., Seattle, WA 98102.
Upon entering the building take the stairs on your left up to the
second floor and look for the meeting room with the glass walls.

We are looking for actors to participate in our short horror film The
Resolution, written by Rick Tobin and to be directed by Rick Walters
of Adventus Films.

The short is just a small piece of a feature length script written by
Tobin. The short will be used as part of a package to help fund raise
for production of the feature.

We will be filming the short on Sunday, July 31st. We need:

2 principals: 1 male, 1 female
1 supporting: female

John - 30 years old, lives in a nice house and is well kept. Works as
a medical biller crunching numbers all day in his cubical. Follows
his local baseball team and wants to live the American dream. When
John asks the love-of-his-life Rebecca to marry him, her answer
changes his ideals, and his life forever.

Rebecca - 30 years old, very materialistic. Wears expensive clothing.
Tans. Always has perfect hair and makeup.

Katie - 30 years old. Lives a humble life working as a cashier at a
local grocery store. Wears her hair back and avoids make-up. Katie is
the perfect "girl-next-store."

There will be no compensation for the trailer shoot but food will be
provided. The production will be of the highest professional quality
and the turnaround will be fast so anybody looking for material for
their reel will have a lot to pull from here.

Casting call Friday 29th and Saturday 30th! (Student Film)

We are holding a casting call on Friday July 29th 5:30 - 7 and on
Saturday July 30th 12-2.

Please bring/email head shot and resume is a plus.

We are casting for a romantic comedy. You must be available Aug.12th
after 5 (we might be able to do later depending aka we will work with
the actors) and Aug. 13th and 14th all day. All filming will be in
Seattle near Cap Hill.

Needed:

3 females - between 22-27, attractive, all body types, and we are
looking for one blonde.
2 will have large roles one is a small role.

Male Lead- Movie is based around his life, well dressed, attractive,
22-27

Priest - Older male 50's or can look it, greying hair.

Project Description:
An independent, locally produced short film from writer LaDora Sella and director L. Gabriel Gonda. The film is a story of a young girl's real and imaginary lives, combining innocence with deeper themes of finding home and family. We are shooting in late August on San Juan Island. We plan to take this film on the festival circuit, including SIFF 2012.

Synopsis

Sparrow, age 12, wakes one morning to find a nest of baby mice in her sock drawer. Attempting to care for them, she takes them with her on her mysterious daily routine. Bicycling through the forest, along the beach and quiet rural roads, collecting various found treasures. Along the way the mice face danger, including a hungry fox and a swirling creek.

Deep in the forest, Sparrow has created a sanctuary in a run-down house, where she keeps her treasures and hides from the rest of the world. She brings the baby mice here, but is unable to care for them.

Sparrow returns home and finds her parents in the kitchen, and the reason for her need to find a family is revealed. She faces a challenge greater than any child should.

In the meantime Sparrow's little brother has found the mother mouse, and they return to the house in the woods to reunite her with her babies.

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
SPARROW, girl aged 8-12. She is willful and independent, too responsible for her age, forced to care not only for herself, but also for her brother and even her parents. Actresses with prior film experience will get first look.

TIMBER, Sparrow's little brother, aged 8-10. Vulerable and dependent on his sister. Imaginative and unruly.

RICHARD, sparrow's father 28-35 years old. Vietnam veteran. Handsome. Heroin addict.
