Actors for workshop readings (Seattle-Capitol Hill)

Actors are needed for the theatre group, WARP (Writers and Actors Reading and Performing). The group meets weekly and is open to everyone from seasoned professionals to those with little or no previous experience! One goal of WARP is to provide a venue in which actors can gain experience with cold readings, rehearsed readings, and performances. Weekly meetings consist of workshops where playwrights bring their scripts and have them read on stage by the actors in attendance.

In addition to the weekly meetings, WARP will be producing several shows a year using selected material written, directed, and performed by participants. Our next show will be in late October, so we are looking for actors who are potentially interested in participating in a showcase of original one-act plays with a theme that is broadly related to Halloween and Autumn.

WARP meets on a regular basis every Tuesday night from 7:00-10:00 at the Odd Duck Theatre, 1214 10th Ave in Seattle. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 19.

Please consider coming to read. There is no pay, but WARP provides an excellent opportunity for actors to get to know and be seen by playwrights and directors who cast shows in the Seattle area.
