Zoey - Co-Star / FEMALE / 15 TO 18 / Amerasian, Asian, Caucasian, Chinese, Italian, Japanese
Zoey is a pretty 15-18 year old young girl with soft features, who like James, loves the natural world and finds salvation in it. She is calm and collected and knows how to balance her social life and her personal life. Zoey has a hint of sarcasm in her tone at times and makes a few comments throughout the film that bring this feature out. She is an ambitious girl who knows what she wants in life. She is organized yet humble and modest. She loves the forest and it helps her keep her life how it is. When she meets Jack, she doesn't let him take complete control over her as she is a proud young girl. She is a little more practical than Jack too.

Story Line: A young man, James despises his monotonous lifestyle in school and at home. After contemplating the options, James decides to run away into a nearby forest. As he gets deeper and deeper, James begins to feel at home among the trees. After a couple weeks alone, James meets a girl walking through the woods named Zoey. The two find a common bond in the forest and grow close to each other. Eventually, James must make a decision that could forever change his life. Actors Needed

Sunday March 13th at 5pm in Preston WA

Female actress needed for the part of Evey from V for Vendetta in a scene reproduction project for a college lighting class. We will be shooting Sunday March 13th at 5pm in Preston. The scene is just after the fight in the alley when V rescues Evey from the would be rapists. The lines just need to be spoken closely to the original as we will not be using the audio from the shoot, but from the movie. We would prefer the actress look as close to the part of Evey as possible. Caucasian with shoulder length curly hair, or convincing wig. Having access to a long trench coat type of coat would be great as well as she is wearing that in the scene. In the scene she is sitting against a wall the whole time so height is not an issue.
Compensation is food and some acting experience.

Also possible need for male actor to play V. We have the mask, hat and cape. Would just need to ware black pants and long sleeved shirt. This would be for the same scene no need to memorize lines just act through the scene.

AUDITIONS - The Musical Carnival! - BAINBRIDGE ISLAND

Ovation! Musical Theatre Bainbridge will hold auditions for the musical, CARNIVAL!, Saturday, April 9th from 10am-5pm at the Bainbridge Commons. All parts are open. Below you will find information about the show including a synopsis and a complete list of parts and vocal ranges.

For the audition, prepare a song from the musical theatre canon and bring piano music in your key for the accompanist. A monologue is not required, but if you are called back for a principle role you will be asked to cold read from the script.

The production will be directed by Ron Milton with musical direction by Todd Hulet. performance dates are July 8-24, 2011 on Bainbridge Island. Ovation! is an all volunteer organization but reimbursement is provided for principals who require walk-on ferry transportation.

Carnival! was first presented on Broadway in 1961 with Gower Champion directing and choreographing. It is based on the 1953 movie Lili starring Leslie Caron. Anna Maria Alberghetti (Lili) and Jerry Orbach (Paul) were in the original Broadway cast as was Kaye Ballard (Rosalie). The production was nominated for seven Tony Awards and won two, including best actress for Miss Alberghetti. It most recently was revived on Broadway as a New York City Center Encores! presentation with Anne Hathaway as Lili.

The stage show is based on the film Lili. Although the entire film score has been discarded the essential story remains. Lili, an orphan, appears at a small European carnival seeking a friend of her dead father and, she hopes, an offer of a home. She is looked after by the carnival folk. She becomes somewhat besotted with the show's magician, Marco the magnificent but soon realises that her future is entwined with the lame, misanthropic puppeteer and love follows.

Carnival! has a large all-ages cast. In addition to the principal roles, there are many secondary roles as well as parts for dancers and actors with circus skills. Note, if it says "ensemble" after the character's name that means they sing with the ensemble. They may or may not have solo vocal lines but dialogue is assigned to most of these characters.

The Carnival! cast (in order of appearance):

Jacquot (baritone)
Mr. Schlegel (circus owner) (baritone)
Grobert (ensemble)
Roustabouts and Circus People/Performers (ensemble)
Wardrobe Mistress (ensemble)
Harem Girls (dancers)
Princess Olga (ensemble)
Gladys Zuwicki (ensemble)
Gloria Zuwicki (ensemble)
Gypsies (ensemble)
Marco the Magnificent (The Magician) (baritone)
The Incomparable Rosalie (Marco's girlfriend and his Assistant) (Mezzo/Alto)
Greta Schlegel (wife of the owner of the circus - ensemble)
Lili (soprano)
Paul Berthalet (high baritone)
The Blue Bird Girls (dancers - ensemble)
Dr. Glass (speaking part) (ensemble)
