Auditions for A Chorus Line
Calling all dancers/singers/performers. ART is a federal non profit community theatre. We have been in the Kent Community for the past ten years providing quality productions, as well as MT training for K-12 graders in our community All profits from our productions are given back to the performers in the form of post secodary educational/training scholarships. We have written over $100,000 in scholarship checks to universities, conservatories and dance schools. Students involved in our program are in some of the top BFA programs in the country (Ithaca, Point Park, Roosevelt, Lawrence, Columbia, UW, Miami and others).

Audition Requirements:
May 22nd-Vocal/Acting (prepare 32 measure upbeat, 16 measure ballad and 1 minute monolog; comedic or dramatic).
May 23rd-General Dance Call 5-7 and Dance Call Backs immediately following from 7-11. (wear dance attire)
Describe any monetary compensation:
We do not pay performers, but all profits frome the production and camps are given out in the form of scholarships to universities/conservatories/dance schools. Our production of RENT last summer gave out $20,000 in scholarships to the 12 performers who

Mainstage Show Runs: July 27th-August 13th (Wednesday-Saturday 7:30 Curtain and Sunday 4:00 Matinee).
A CHORUS LINE is a stunning musical-verite about a chorus audition for a Broadway musical. It tells of the achingly poignant ambitions of professional Broadway gypsies to land a job in the show, and is a powerful metaphor for all human aspiration. Memorable musical numbers include I Can Do That, At the Ballet, Dance: Ten; Looks: Three, The Music and the Mirror, What I Did for Love, One (Singular Sensation) and I Hope I Get It. It is a brilliantly complex fusion of dance, song and compellingly authentic drama. The show was instantly recognized as a classic.

Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead
The Young Americans' Theatre Company (YATC) is seeking actors between the ages of 13 and 19 for "Dog Sees God: Confessions of A Teenage Blockhead" by Bert V. Royal.
"Dog Sees God" is part of YATC's fourth season and will be co-directed by Sylvie Baldwin (Artistic Director) and Kalea Salvador.
Actors should be available between July 1st, 2011 and August 21st, 2011 for both rehearsals and performances. A full rehearsal schedule will be available at auditions.
Synopsis: When CB's dog dies from rabies, CB begins to question the existence of an afterlife. His best friend is too burnt out to provide any coherent speculation; his sister has gone goth; his ex-girlfriend has recently been institutionalized; and his other friends are too inebriated to give him any sort of solace. But a chance meeting with an artistic kid, the target of this group's bullying, offers CB a peace of mind and sets in motion a friendship that will push teen angst to the very limits. Drug use, suicide, eating disorders, teen violence, rebellion and sexual identity collide and careen toward an ending that's both haunting and hopeful.
Audition/Interview Dates:
The evenings of March 25th and 26th.

Audition Requirements:
Actors should prepare a 1 to 2 minute contemporary monologue and come prepared to move.
Actors may also audition for YATC's other two shows - "Past Curfew" and "Mary's Wedding" - at the same time

A.T.O.M. short film
Hi Performer's callboard community,
In the week of March 21st to the 24th (12-5 pm for four days) I will be shooting a short science fiction film called A.T.O.M. It is about two individuals who get involved in a conspiracy about time travel. There's more to it than that but I want to keep it short and simple. I will be holding auditions at the UW main campus Hutchinson Hall this week on Wednsday and Thursday. I want Friday afternoon to be a screentest day for chosen actors. I need to work out the details of the room I will be holding the auditions in but please give me the days and times that you are available and I will let you know if I can schedule you in at that time. Also, please have a second alternate time. I'd like to do the auditions on both days from 1 to 4:00 pm. I will be doing auditions in 10-15 minute increments. The film has no dialogue and it is only movement and action. This is a nonpaid position but for anyone looking for quality and depth this is the project for
you. Also, a dvd of the final product will be given and a possible screening.

Casting Call for Children
Need child actors for 1 leading role in a film and 6 others as extras in two different films. Our company will be auditioning this weekend for the roles so we need talent Asap.
This is a chance for your child to break into the industry or just have fun and make some extra money. The casting call is going to be on Saturday March 19th and the time and location will be sent to you. Since this is a sort notice deal we are going to be calling people back if we like their photos and those that we choose will get to audition. Pay will be $40 per hour for a 3-4 day shoot.
