Auditions: Saturday, April 23, 2011

This page contains auditions posted on Saturday, April 23, 2011.

Due to some upcoming early morning shoots, I wanted to give everyone a heads up that the daily post time for auditions may vary moving forward.

We have spent some time focusing on finding auditions, audition preparation, and booking the right type of work. No matter how talented and gorgeous you may be, it always comes down to who you know, or rather, who knows you.

The big question of this week is - how does networking play a role in your acting career?

How important is it to make an appearance at local film networking events, and how much does it make a difference in your career? Do you attend any local networking events for theater and film? How has it affected the work you are getting, and how have you grown from networking?

Let's start up this week's chat and discuss your thoughts about networking, attending events, and how this has made a difference in your acting career!

If you are a fan of the blog, please share this with actor friends. If you have any feedback for me on how to improve my blog, share this with me so that I may work on improving the blog.

Thanks.

Female 20's-30's Talent for Informative Video

Who:
Looking for an attractive female, late 20's or early 30's,
professional attire, consultative approach.

What:
We are working with a client that is looking to put together a lobby
loop that will provide information about the company in a stylized and
informative way. We will shoot the talent on green screen speaking to
the camera and then add in graphics and motion backgrounds to make for
a clean/professional look. We will also be developing a short piece
of "on-hold" music (the music/voice you hear on the phone when you are
on hold) for the same project and we will need to do some voiceover.

Where:
In our downtown Seattle production studio.

When:
TBD - probably within the next week or two but time is flexible and we
can work with you on scheduling a day. Shoot would take place
sometime between 8am-5pm. We estimate 3 hours for the shoot itself.

Attire:
You would need to provide your own attire. Looking for professional,
sleek, and clean.

Compensation:
DOE - around $500 (video shoot and VO included)

Reply to: Please send along headshot and resume to aaron@promotionarts.com. If you have video examples
that would be great! If necessary we will do a quick audition series.

Adult Extras Needed Saturday 4/23 for Indie Film

A.K. Films is looking for adult extras (ages 25 - 50) to appear as law-office employees for a scene in the feature-length, independent film, "The Pony Man." This is a non-union, unpaid opportunity. Call time is 3:30 PM on Saturday, April 23rd.

The location is an office building in downtown Seattle. The film shoot will take no longer than 2 hours.

Dave will provide specific directions to the site, and can answer any other questions about the film. Here is a synopsis:

"His job:
outsourced. His home: commandeered by his couch-potato daughter. But Ed
Heller's not losing hope. Inspired by a homeless street clown, Ed's
decided to reinvent himself. With a Polaroid camera slung around his
neck and a pony at his side, Ed's going door to door. Will Seattle put
out the welcome mat? (coming to a theater near you in early 2012)"
Thanks for your interest!

Reply to: If you are available for and interested in this opportunity, please contact producer Dave McCaul by responding to this post or writing him at mccauliflower@hotmail.com.
