Audition Wind In The Willows - Sky Performing Arts Monroe

Sky Performing Arts in Monroe, WA is excited to hold auditions for our
upcoming musical show, The Wind in the Willows, adapted by Terry Simon and
Greg Norgaard from the book by Kenneth Grahame.

The Wind in the Willows is a treasured children's story where loveable river
creatures come to life and teach us lessons of friendship, loyalty and fun.
In a pastoral English setting we see fun-loving Rat teaching
down-to-business Mole the value of "simply messing around with boats," wise
Badger helping daring, crazy Toad see that a true friend tells the truth
even when it's hard to hear, and we learn that you never can trust a helpful
Weasel.

Robin Hilt will make her directorial debut for SPA with The Wind in the
Willows. She has performed in SPA's In the Mood for the last four years.
She has also been the Creative Arts Director at Monroe Community Chapel for
seven years and has directed or produced many programs, events and children
and youth music camps in that time.

With over 20 roles and 10 main characters, we will be casting a wide range
of individuals-men and women, including the main river characters with
animal affects (Rat, Mole, Otter, Badger, Toad, Weasel) and a number of
human characters (Waitress, Dining Couple, Judge, Clerk, Cops, Prisoners,
Jailer's Daughter, Railroad workers). Some minor roles may be doubled. We
prefer actors to be at least 14 years old; any British accent is a plus but
not a requirement. There are also singing and non-singing roles (All main
characters sing.)

Auditions will be held on March 7 at 7:30 p.m. and March 8 at 7:00 p.m. at
Sky Valley Educational Center at 17072 Tye Street SE, #B, Monroe, WA.
Callbacks will be March 9 at 7:00 p.m. Please come prepared with a
one-minute comic monologue and a 16-bar song (with CD or acapella). You
will also be asked to do a cold reading.

Rehearsal will begin on March 21st, Monday through Thursday from 7-10 p.m.
Performance dates are May 6-8, 13-15 and 20-22nd. Depending on the cast, we
may lighten the rehearsal schedule during Spring Break, April 4-8th.

Casting 8-9 y/o girls for commercial

I am casting five cute 8-9 year old girls for a 60 sec commercial that I am submitting to a contest. Shoot will be simple

and fun at a Seattle Park. There are no on-camera lines, but I will be recording simple lines off-camera for the voice

over. This would be perfect if your daughter has 4 cute outgoing friends who would like to participate. The commercial is

for a doll, but mostly involves the girls looking confident and delivering lines about what they want to be when they grow

up. Should take about 2-3 hours for filming and recording.

I am hoping to shoot this Saturday or Sunday morning. I can pay each girl $10 plus a copy of the finished piece, with an

additional $20 each if we happen to win a prize.

If interested, please email with a photo and your contact info, and your availability.

Thanks!
