General Auditions for The Attic Theatre

The Attic Theatre announces general auditions for their 2011 fall and winter
shows, “The Diary of Anne Frank” and “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe”.
The auditions will be held on Saturday Feb 26th from 9am to 2pm at
Woodinville Alliance Church - 13940 NE 166th Street, Woodinville, WA 98072.
The audition requirements are a 3 min (or less) monologue, and possibly a
bit of cold reading from the scripts. There is no stipend pay for actors,
however, actors will be provided with several “comp” tickets to use at their
discretion.

The Attic Theatre is proud to present…Sept. 2011, “The Diary of Anne Frank”,
based on Anne Frank's diary, the 1997 stage adaptation has been called
“transcendently
powerful”. This adaptation fits the tragedy into its historical context: In
Nazi-occupied Holland, Otto Frank and his family have decided to go into
hiding, because of the increasing persecutions against Jews. Joined by
friends, they try to avoid detection while hoping for Holland to be
liberated by the Allies, but even meeting basic needs can become a
challenge, and even minor incidents could present a grave risk.

The Attic Theatre is proud to present…Dec. 2011, “The Lion, The Witch and
The Wardrobe”, based on the classic book by C.S. Lewis. *The Lion, the Witch
and the Wardrobe…*is set during World War II in 1940 just outside London. It
is a fantasy that follows four children who have been sent to the
countryside, to be protected from the bombing in London, to live with a
professor. In exploring the house, they find a wardrobe through which opens
a “door” to the land of Narnia and a timeless adventure.
